Hi, my name is Kanika Bansal and I am a dance coach and yoga teacher for many years teaching, unlearning and learning, evolving and growing in the journey of dance and yoga.

Before we dive into what offers a little bit of history. Since the age of five I have been dancing and performing on stage. I started learning kathak while I was still learning how to calculate 2+2 in school. Learning Indian classical dancing early on laid the foundation of dancing as a passion and now as a career for me. Yoga came to me around the same time as practicing yoga with my grandfather as I was growing up was a daily ritual in the morning.

During my college years I learned hip hop dancing and salsa and was also participant twice in Boogie woogie reality dance tv show. I obtained my certified  yoga teacher training at the same time.

In 2010 , when I moved to Amsterdam I learnt

the basics of ballet, and joined jazzdance4all to learn  modern and  street jazz for 4 years.  Very soon I started performing with my teachers in numerous dance pieces and also started teaching workshops. In 2019 , I started teaching kids also as they are the fastest learners when it comes to dancing.

When the covid pandemic hit it became very difficult to share this passion in person hence I started teaching online . Also it became very important to keep the mental health in balance and hence I started teaching Yoga (hath) also to my students online. Eventually  in March 2020 kanikdancecompany was formed. I have done almost 3 years of running successful and the most amazing dance classes workshops , choreographies , yoga classes for group and private individuals and sort of built the dance family as we call it. So , come and enjoy and world of dancing and yoga with me!
